Cotton
 

Different cottons were used to make these ornaments, so called: cotton batting, pressed cotton, spun cotton, but I am not specifying this here. The main material is cotton.

For cotton candy containers we refer to the "candy container" section.

Cat with cotton head and chenille body,

Cotton spider with wire legs in a web:
spider is covered with small pieces of purple crèpe paper and small painted green specks on his cotton body;
the web is made of wire and silk thread;
all is covered with a transparant substance to imitate dew on the spider's web

the basket, made of tinsel/cotton garland, inserted with paper Prussian soldiers and signal flags;
held up with Gablonz bugles and beads; ca 16cm high
String of the paper flags were also used as tree decorations.

both fixed to a thick cardboard base, covered with white paint and possibly granulated Venetion dew, ca 10cm high. Also shown in the Candleholders page.
